DearWordsworth—IhaveseentheBookswhichyouordered，bookedattheWhiteHorseInn，Cripplegate，bytheKendalwaggonthisday1stFeby.1806;youwillnotfailtoseeafterthemintime.TheyaredirectedtoyouatGrasmere.WehavemadesomealterationintheEditionssinceyoursistersdirections.ThehandsomequartoSpencerwhichsheauthorizedMarytobuyfor￡2.12.6，whenshebroughtithomeintriumphprovedtobeonlytheFairyQueen:sowegotthemtotakeitagainandIhaveprocuredinsteadaFolio，whichluckilycontains，besidesallthePoems，theviewoftheStateofIreland，whichisdifficulttomeetwith.TheSpencer，andtheChaucer，beingnobleoldbooks，wedidnotthinkStockdalesmodernvolumeswouldlooksowellbesidethem;addedtowhichIdontknowwhetheryouareawarethatthePrintisexcessivesmall，sameasEleg.Extracts，orsmaller，notcalculatedforeyesinage;andShakespearisoneofthelastbooksoneshouldliketogiveup，perhapstheonejustbeforetheDyingServiceinalargePrayerbook.SowehaveusedourowndiscretioninpurchasingPopesfineQuartoinsixvolumes，whichmaybereadadultimamhoramvitae.ItisboundlikeLawBooks（rather，halfbound）andtheLawRobeIhaveeverthoughtaselyandgentlemanlyagarbasaBookwouldwishtowear.Thestateofthepurchasethenstandsthus，
